Hawaiian Geography in A Nutshell

There are many smaller islands in the Hawaiian Island Chain. The 5 main Islands are Kaua’i, O’ahu, Moloka’i, Mau’i and Hawai’i. Our island is called Hawai’i but because it’s confusing that it’s also the name of our State, we typically refer to it as ‘The Big Island’.

The Big Island is bigger than all the other Islands combined. On The Big Island, you can see tropical rain forests, volcanoes, sandy beaches, snow-capped mountains, and much more, all in the same day! We have some of the best diving in the world and our multi-colored beaches offer something for every taste.
